MIDDLEPORT: Horse shelter in need of donations By April Amadon We are a 501(c)(3) not
for profit
organization What we do!
Some
may be riding horses, We are always looking
for contributions As many of you know, we are at our new farm and things are coming along in great strides. We are very thankful for everything that we have been able to do but we still have so much more to do. AND NEED YOUR HELP!! We will be adding another barn in the summer of 2007. We also need to side and roof the current barn before next winter. We are in need of: Lumber (any kind--esp. 2X4's), Wood posts, Fencing supplies, Plywood (any sizes), Roof panels and volunteers to help with the building process. We are also in great need of a tractor with a bucket (we are currently moving everything like hay, manure, etc. by hand and it is difficult at best, especially in the snow)! Donations of hay, grain and straw/shavings are always needed and greatly appreciated as well! link on this page and see if we have a volunteer opportunity that fits your needs. We are appreciative of any time or talent that anyone can offer. One hour or 100 hours. Also you do not need to come to the rescue to help, maybe you can fundraise in your own community or check on donations of items that are needed, or help out with computer work (research, list/sell items on ebay for us through mission fish, donation requests, grants, etc..) from the comfort of your home. We are grateful for any and all help!
FUNDRAISER HELP NEEDED: We are in desperate need of dedicated horse lovers to be on our fundraising committee! Horse experience not necessary, just a love of helping these beautiful animals. Anyone interested must be willing to help research, organize and implement possible fundraisers. Great people skills and a willingness to jump in to help wherever possible.
