MIDDLEPORT:
Horse shelter in need of donations
By April Amadon

We are a 501(c)(3) not for profit organization
dedicated to rescuing horses.
All donations are a tax deduction!

What we do!
Once a horse has arrived, they receive all vet and
farrier care and placed under evaluation.
After evaluation, when these horses
are ready, they are put up for placement.

 Some may be riding horses,
some may be companion horses,
but most will need continued extra care
whether it be training, weight put on or just
lots of TLC and patience to help them over
come any fears they may have.
This work can only be done with your help!

We are always looking for contributions
so please  remember:
$2.50 can buy a bale of hay and no donation is too small!
Please help us, help the horses! It is your donations
that keep us going in helping them!
Just click below
We've made it easy to donate
whatever you like!

As many of you know, we are at our new farm
and things are coming along in great strides.
We are very thankful for everything
that we have been able to do
but we still have so much more to do.
NOW......WE ARE EXPANDING
AND NEED YOUR HELP!!

In order to help as many horses as possible.
We will be adding  another barn
in the summer of 2007.  We also need to side
and roof the current barn before next winter.
We are in need of:
Lumber (any kind--esp. 2X4's),
Wood posts,
Fencing supplies,
 Plywood (any sizes),
 Roof panels
and volunteers to help with the building process.

We are also in great need of a tractor with a bucket
(we are currently moving everything  like hay, manure, etc.
by hand and it is difficult at best, especially in the snow)
Donations of hay, grain and straw/shavings
are always needed and greatly appreciated as well
!

Other ways to help us!
HOW YOU CAN HELP
link on this page
and see if we have a volunteer opportunity
that fits your needs.

We are appreciative of any time
or talent that anyone can offer.

One hour or 100 hours. Also you do not
need to come to the rescue to help,

maybe you can fundraise in your own community
or check on donations of items that are needed,
or help out with computer work
(research, list/sell items on ebay for
us through mission fish,  donation requests, grants,  etc..)
from the comfort of your home.
We are grateful for any and all help!
