EQUINE NATIONAL RESCUE RIDE
2008 SET FOR OCTOBER 19
On October 19, 2008 thousands of horse lovers across the nation
will pull on their boots or lace up
their sneakers to ride or walk to raise funds for the horse related
charity of their choice. Similar to a
walkathons the National Rescue Ride will bring together thousands of
people to across the country to
demonstrate that abuse, neglect and shipping of horses across the
border for slaughter is
unacceptable. It is the nations biggest effort ever to help horses.
Riders and walkers wishing to participate to support Tender Mercy
Equine Rescue at Darien Lake
State Park
Darien, NY should go to www.nationalrescueride.org to register,
pay a $20. fee, print their
sponsorship form and start raising money by signing up sponsors for
themselves. There will be a small
buffet breakfast at check-in, a National Rescue Ride T-shirt for
all riders/walkers and prizes for the
most money raised. The day will end with a great feeling of
equine camaraderie.
So on Sunday, October 19, whether in the saddle or in your
sneakers, join us to help America’s
abused, neglected and unwanted horses by being a part of this great
national effort at the National
Rescue Ride!
